Charter Coating Service (2000) Ltd., founded in 1981, provides an independent source of technical and practical expertise for coatings, paints, and mastics. Charter's mission is to provide personnel and facilities able to conduct laboratory tests, inspections, and consulting for a broad range of coatings and paints with emphasis on materials that mitigate corrosion.

Our laboratory follows NACE, ASTM, ISO, CGSB, AWWA and CSA standard methods to evaluate coating performance. Tests performed include autoclave, atlas cell, cathodic disbonding, impact, flexibility, penetration, shear, and adhesion, as well as scrub and weathering tests for architectural paints.
