Company Description
Allan R. Nelson Engineering is a leader in rig design, modifications, design reviews inspections and certifications. Our strength is in the rig's "centre sections"
i.e. masts and substructures. With over 45 years experience there is very little by way of rig style or size, on drilling or service rigs, that our mechanical engineers cannot handle. We have particular expertise in the areas of slant rigs and rig moving/walking systems. Our designs are used extensively both domestically and on the international stage. We can put our skilled staff into the field for inspections and certifications for all manner of overhead rig equipment as well as brake assemblies, drawworks, mud pumps, etc. We have Transport Canada certified engineers who can assist on vehicle and tank related design, rating and certifications. Our personnel can be called upon for equipment failure, rollovers, and fire and explosion incidents. We do cause & origin investigations, damage assessments, as well as patent searches, etc. We are experienced, practical engineers who appreciate that the oil patch is a 24/7 working environment. Our extensive "hands-on" experience allows us to ask the right questions in order to provide you the right answers when you need them and in a cost-effective manner. Our engineers are continually upgrading their technical and software skills to serve you better. Our 3-d modeling and finite element analysis are second to none in the industry.
