Why Flare Stacks?
A flare is used in a refinery or petrochemical facility to combust relieved waste gases safely and efficiently. The flare is often portrayed as the end of line device and plays an extremely important operating role in an emergency such as a power failure or fire. The critical nature of a flare stack requires the design to operate 24-hours a day, for months on end without disruption. Each flaring scenario needs to be fully and accurately investigated to ensure all potential variables are considered and accounted for to combust waste gases as safely and efficiently as possible.
