About us
J.D.A. Ventures Ltd. provides a 24-hour crane and trucking service to various industries
across Alberta, Northern BC and into the Territories. With locations in Grande Prairie,
Fort Saint John and Whitecourt, JDA is constantly looking to expand its service area.
Utilizing one of the most diverse fleets in the industry, our ability to provide a wide range
of services makes us a one stop shop for all your transportation needs.
Established in 1986 by Jarvis Dawson as a small mechanic shop, then in 1994 became
a one truck hotshot company operating out of an automotive shop. That’s where the “A”
comes from in JDA. Today, we are a well-known trucking company and crane service
operating out of Grande Prairie, Fort Saint John and Whitecourt. With over 250 pieces
of equipment and 150 + employees, JDA is growing fast.
JDA cares about the communities we serve in, committing over half a million a year in
sponsorships and donations, we are also proud to be the #1 donor to Ronald McDonald
House Alberta.
Like many Alberta-born businesses, JDA was built upon traditional values of hard work,
